Press Release:

The American Rental Association of New Jersey held its March meeting at Fusco’s Rentals in Flemington, New Jersey. By every measurement it was a great success. Over 75 rental people were in attendance.

The featured speaker at this meeting was Richard Paquette the REAP advisor out of Canada. Prior to the meeting Mr. Paquette evaluated 4 ARA-NJ member stores. In a fascinating program he outlined the areas rental stores need to be concerned with to run successful operations.

Those in attendance were treated to a Hawaiian buffet before the meeting. The Hawaiian theme was chosen by ARA-NJ President Megan Jones (Celebration Party and Rentals) who, with a couple of assistants, decorated the meeting space to create the feel of Hawaii. There were palm trees and thatched huts and the tables were decorated with colorful Hawaiian prints and miniature palm tree center pieces. To accent the theme, board members of the ARA-NJ good naturedly wore Hawaiian shirts.

The light heartedness of the theme did not detract from the purpose of the meeting. Getting down to business, Associate members were asked to introduce themselves and offer updates on their product lines. Then association officers were introduced and committee chairmen gave reports on their committee’s doings.

The president introduced the guest speaker who enthralled guests and members. After the presentation Mr. Paquette held a lively question and answer period. The meeting came to a close with a 50/50 raffle and prizes given by drawing from questionnaires submitted by some of the attendees.

The ARA-NJ gained 4 new associate members from those in attendance. Mike Fusco who hosted the meeting provided ample space for all and was a most gracious host.

Members were given a preview of the April meeting before adjournment - it looks like a winner, too.
