Permitting Process. Also to continue our 2004 goals and gain more participation
of members and to increase associate membership.
To bring more value to being a member through the education provided at the seminar,
meetings and rental rag. Have fun topic themes. Suggestions are most welcomed.

In 1996, Chris and Valerie Ruch purchased the Party Line/Party Corner business from Keith and Pat Klarin. Here’s the history on how it all came about. Party Line was established in Eatontown asa full service party center in 1964. The Party Corner was opened by the Klarin’s as an A to Z general rental center in Shrewsbury in 1969. In 1970, the A to Z franchisers went out of business, so the name was changed to All Purpose Rentals. In 1973, the Klarin’s purchased a Fun Services franchise to serve the school, civic and commercial market with fun fairs, company picnics, promotions and holiday program. In 1981, subsequent to the move to the present location, and due to the pressure of sharply increased volume in the party goods sector of the business, then general manager, Chris Ruch, effected the conversion of the business to a complete party goods center. Chris says that he retired the remaining rental tools by backing over them with delivery trucks! In 1982, the Klarin’s purchased Party Line in Eatontown. In 1993, Party Line was moved to a new, modern facility in Ocean Township. In 2002, the decision was made to transfer Party Lines retail business to Party Corner and buy a larger warehouse facility off the highway in the Ocean Township Industrial Park. Since the purchase by Chris and Valerie in 1996 the business has experienced steady growth, mainly due to the dedication of it’s excellent long term employees – Joe (23 years), John (21 years), Martha (21 years), Patti (15 years), Wendy (15 years), Liz (13 years), Pat (10 years), Maria (10 years), Steve (9 years) and of course Valerie (28 years).The Klarin’s have been enjoying the retired life in Florida. Chris and Valerie look forward to retiring some day and floating on a lake in North Carolina.
